Dean's Greeting
Welcome to the College of Art & Design.
Continuing the history of the last 100 years, the College of Art & Design at Seoul National University of Science & Technology is starting the next 100 years with the new name of Art & Design SeoulTech.
The graduates we have continuously produced since our establishment have greatly contributed to various industries and throughout the art sector, and academically, the College of Art & Design has solidified its footing as a cradle for producing excellent professionals in the art & design sector.
On this basis, the College of Art & Design is exerting all its efforts to cultivate graduates in the design and art sector equipped with domestic and international competitiveness.
In addition, we have a specialized education program based on industrial education cooperation to achieve a high employment rate, and outstanding educational performance such as producing numerous winners in various internal and external competitions. Due to such performance, we were selected as the best university in the 2002 evaluation of the design academic field by the Korea Council for University Education. In 2007, we hosted an international conference with the Korea Society of Design Science and elevated our status.
In the same year, Seoul National University of Science & Technology was chosen as the best university in the National University Evaluation.
There were many changes in the College of Art & Design in 2012.
With the move to the New Da Vinci Hall, students can focus more of their time and enthusiasm on learning and research in a comfortable and new environment.
The College of Art & Design at Seoul National University of Science & Technology will carry out education that reflects creative emotion and an international mind with an aroused consciousness and open attitude.
For this, we will continue to develop diverse education programs and learning methods that respect the mutual emotional communion between students and professors, to expand English lectures that teach an international mindset and to operate international exchange programs.
As a college with a new vision and open to challenges, we promise unsparing love and support to all our students so they can employ their competent skills and knowledge in their futures.
